 NEED HELP WITH DOG TRAINING?
 YOU'RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!

Some dog owners wish there was a “Magic Dust” for dog training. However, there isn’t, so let’s discuss Real Life Training.

POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT – REWARD BASED TRAINING IS USED

Positive Reinforcement is part Science, part Mechanical Skills and Linda stirs in lots of praise, patience, and rewards. The best way to learn how to train your dog is with the guidance from a “Certified” Professional Trainer. The Barking Lot Training is Force-Free cutting edge, science based techniques, Behavior Modification and Management Strategies. Dog Body Language is also taught to help you better understand your dog. I use a lot human analogies, so owners can understand what’s going on with their dog and why they act the way they do.

Our approach uses gentle, fun, and effective humane Reward Based learning methods which build a stronger relationship between you and your dog. We’ll teach quick, effective master techniques making life easier for busy families. My training theory is simple, I want the dogs we train to be “Thinking Dogs”. We want to empower the dogs to be a part of the learning process, so we allow them to make “Choices” of their own. Then reinforce the decision we “like”, show them a better way or redirect unwanted behavior. This allows the dogs to trust us and want to be a part of the training. In my many years of training, I have found that when you allow yourself to “understand and respect” your dog’s perspective, you are actually laying a foundation for respect and trust that will work for both you and your dog. I do not force commands, I encourage the dogs to want to work with me and enjoy our training together.

IT’S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO BECOME “INTERESTING” TO YOUR DOG

The key to keeping your dog stimulated is when you make training FUN!
When I train I keep it both rewarding and fun.
The dogs I train learn because they think “training” is “playing”.

No two dogs are alike, so all training is customized to fit your dog’s individual,
attainable skills, as well as your personal goals for the dog.
Behaviors are taught on leash so your dog can be more successful.

The Barking Lot’s curriculum is presented on a progressive building block
format, so that each lesson is built on the previous class.
I’m known for “Fun Games and Creative Thinking” training.
Consistently I get excellent results with even the most difficult cases.

However. it’s important to reach the greatest results, will depend on the
owners’ willingness to participate in the maintenance training
and follow the training instructions at home.

The life lessons I have learned as a
PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINER = Patience – Understanding – Respect – Compassion for both ends of the leash.
